| She asked me to describe it and I told
her that when I touched people, I could feel "warm sensations"
and it didn't matter if the person was a child, or older or
male or female. She told me that what I was describing was
"healing abilities." So, I asked her what I should
do with these "healing abilities," and she just
said to follow your heart!
So, I left there wondering: "Well, I have six grown children
and a flower shop to run and employees." "What in
the world do I do with "healing abilities?" So,
I began to look in health and healing magazines and the word,
"Reiki" kept jumping out at me. I decided to go
to a few Reiki Open Houses to find out more about what Reiki
was and what it could do.
I was very impressed but skeptical, but felt that I really
had nothing to lose. For a small investment, at least my curiosity
would be satisfied! I decided to get my Reiki First Degree.
I left feeling very elated and transformed, but wanted to
put my newly channeled abilities right to work. I decided
to keep a "journal" so I could keep everything "documented."
Maybe one day I would want to write an article or a book,
and my story would have more credibility that way.
I began to fill my book - pages and pages of what I thought
were miracles. Then, one day I realized that these miracles
were happening every day! How could this be! I have never
gone to college, I have never studied biology, and yet I can
"heal" people? I thought that took years of college
and more years and years of training! I enthusiastically went
ahead and obtained my Second Degree! I continued healing and
continued studying more and more books on Reiki and Energy
Healing and Spirituality. I was insatiable and couldn't get
my hands on enough reading material. I joined other Reiki
groups and learned that there were lots of other people having
experiences just like me! It was then that I decided to become
a Reiki Master!
I cannot describe in words what a wonderful feeling that was
for me. I felt like I was on a journey. My whole life changed
as people came to me in awe and respect for what Reiki could
do. I couldn't believe that this was something "anyone"
could do! I encouraged others to learn Reiki and I started
teaching them and giving them the attunements. I was getting
wonderful, exciting responses from my students. They were
as enthusiastic as I was and they were...healing, too! I couldn't
wait to hear their stories!
What a blessing Reiki has been to me. What a blessing to be
able to give this gift to other people! I truly believe that
Reiki is the wonder of God's love passing through me into
another. I want to share this gift with the world now because
not a day goes by that I am not reminded of what wonderful
things Reiki can do. |
